Claire is the absolute best!  She is not only an excellent teacher who makes learning fun, but she will also be an advocate for your child!  Claire tutored our son Ryan this summer as he was coming out of kindergarten and into 1^st grade.  Ryan was struggling in both Math and Reading. While Claire specializes in Math, she also offered to help Ryan with his reading.   I credit Claire with encouraging us to be proactive about getting our son evaluated for a learning disability as soon as possible rather than waiting until the Fall as the school suggested, which would have continued to put him behind.  Claire even helped us to get an appointment with a doctor who we otherwise may not have been able to see so quickly.  Claire volunteered to sit in on meetings with teachers and principals if we needed her help.  After working with Claire for the summer, Ryan went from crying about doing his homework to running around the house asking me math equations.  Ryan was able to bring his Math level up to grade level by the end of the summer.  Thanks to Claire he also began getting the specialized reading help he needs for his diagnosed dyslexia.  Working with Claire was such a great experience and I highly recommend you reach out to her for help for your child.  It will make such a difference!

The Math Whisperer! Although Claire has only recently begun tutoring our five-year old son, I can already see great results. Previously our son used to have high math anxiety, but Claire has already managed to calm him down. She speaks calmly to him and works with his interests to get him to enjoy doing math problems. He already shows interest in making his own number sentences and discovering what has more and what has less. More than just understanding his current math problems, I can see that Claire is setting him up to have a life-long love of math.
