Main Line Math Tutor: Frequently Asked Questions
I tutor from Kindergarten through Algebra II.
All sessions are held online through live video. Claire and your child work together in real time on a shared digital whiteboard, so it feels just like sitting side by side.
Initially, when I meet with your child, I will request that he/she have material that they’ve been working on recently and ask questions regarding their confidence level about the material. Then I ask open questions about their process in determining the steps applied to come to a reasonable answer.
Working with children and as a parent myself, I know that things come up:) Typically, I request a days advance notice but if something changes last minute, I ask that a 50% of my rate be paid if within a 2 hour timeframe of the scheduled session.
